Introducing a New Way to Look At Your Data Center

UltraFrame Holdings is the developer of AraFrame, AraBlock, and AraStack. The AraFrame platform is based on a patent pending, structurally integrated chassis framework. It can be deployed as individual frames, or as an integrated compute, storage, and network infrastructure. One of the primary design objectives in developing this integrated platform was to double compute-and-storage density through innovative design, with a target of cutting power consumption in half. This enables data centers to potentially double the compute-and-storage resource in the same space and facility load that they operate in today.

With the AraFrame platform, data centers can increase facility capacity and revenue by taking a modular and holistic approach to data center population. It provides a utilization path that helps data center owners and operators maximize their investment, revenue, and their resources.

Cloud Scale Your Enterprise or Data Center Today

For existing data centers, the AraFrame platform offers several options to increase facility capacity and generate more revenue. Facilities have the option of implementing the AraFrame platform in rack infrastructure, or by directly implementing AraBlocks in undeveloped space yielding higher densities. The AraFrame platform can even provide a lower-cost alternative to data center retrofitting and expansion in some cases.

All AraFrame platform components share the same DNA, so a data center even has the option of implementing the AraFrame platform in stages. A data center can populate existing racks

with AraFrame technology today. In the future, if the same data center needs to increase compute-and-storage density beyond the rack, individual AraFrame modules can be easily reconfigured into an AraBlock, or even an AraStack. This is what we call our Rack Today, Stack Tomorrow capability.

For new data center and modular build-outs, the AraFrame platform offers the opportunity to further increase overall density and facility utilization – maximizing the return on investment per square foot, resulting in the maximum revenue generation per square foot.

Size, Density, and Efficiency Matter

Size, density, and efficiency matter; these factors not only determine the efficiency of your data center, they will determine the level of competitiveness and revenue capabilities of every data center. It matters today, and these factors will matter even more in the future. As new high-density, low power emerging technologies reach the market, these low power server and storage solutions will enable even higher densities. Any new technologies mounted into AraFrame nodes potentially double the density over rack mounting.

The AraFrame platform can even provide AraBlock and AraStack solutions that potentially double the density of 1U to 5U rack mountable chassis. Because of our rack-less column density, and our ability to create higher stacks of any equipment in the data center, the AraFrame platform even increases density of traditional chassis based equipment over racks.

The Flexibility to Adapt In The Future While Preserving the Present

The entire AraFrame platform is built on a foundation of highly efficient lean design, lean manufacturing methodology. A significant amount of time was invested in developing a highly reusable architecture that can be rapidly adapted for any silicon-based technology – at very low cost. We can implement x86 today, ARM 64, or any other emerging technology tomorrow – all at up to double the density of traditional rack-based equipment. The AraFrame platform was designed to minimize manufacturing costs and material waste. It was also designed with a high percentage of heat-transfer-efficient, renewable, and recyclable aluminum. Using patent-pending design and manufacturing methods, great care went into producing an efficient platform that would not only increase revenue for a data center, but would also lessen the impact on the environment with every frame produced.
