Each AraFrame (a standard 4U chassis size) can presently be populated with 10 of our current x86 Ara Compute Nodes (CNs), or 5 x86 Ara Compute/Storage Nodes (CSNs available Q4 2013). The table below illustrates the range of capabilities of one AraFrame.

What’s in an AraStack?
An AraStack 2×3 with a total height of 7 feet, a width of 9 feet and a depth of 3 feet, consists of 2-columns by 3-rows of AraBlock 3-4-3. Each AraStack 2×3 can be configured with up to 600 Compute Nodes, or 300 Compute/Storage Nodes (CSNs available Q4 2013). Every AraBlock in an AraStack can also be preconfigured with an integrated management and data network fabric. The table below illustrates the range of capabilities of just one AraStack 2×3 configuration – in less space than 5 racks.
